RESUMO

This study is based on the means-end chain theory and adopts the laddering interview method to understand the customer's perceived value of glamping. The means-end chain theory links attributes, consequences, and values, which can help uncover interviewees' honest opinions and ultimate values they sought in glamping. A total of 40 individuals who had not previously experienced glamping were interviewed. In-depth interviews were conducted following the one-on-one ladder-style format. The results reveal that the interviewees mainly focus on the 'hardware and equipment' aspect of glamping. Moreover, the aspect that interviewees associated closest with glamping was 'comfortable accommodation.' During the COVID-19 pandemic, these interviewees were focused on improving 'their sense of well-being' and 'enjoyment of life.' Hence, the study analysis and its discussion from the management perspective can be applied to camping-related businesses. This study will enhance future academic research by explaining and applying the means-end chain theory and laddering to glamping.

This study seeks the answer to the proposed questions of past Halal tourism studies, namely how does loyalty form for Millennial Muslim tourists when they visit domestic or international destinations. The data for this study were collected from 432 Indonesian Muslim Millennials. Using partial least squares structural equation modelling, this research shows that Halal experience and attraction experience influence the perceived value, satisfaction, and loyalty of Muslim Millennial tourists. While Halal experience is considered to be an important factor in determining Millennial Muslim satisfaction when visiting domestic destinations, Halal experience is not considered as important when visiting international destinations. Further, perceived value, satisfaction and loyalty are more influenced by experience with tourism attractions than by Halal experience when visiting either domestic or international destinations.

Dr. Deborah Birx, the White House Coronavirus Task Force coordinator, told NBC News on "Meet the Press" that "[T]he U.S. needs a 'breakthrough' in coronavirus testing to help screen Americans and get a more accurate picture of the virus' spread." We have been involved with biopathogen detection since the 2001 anthrax attacks and were the first to detect anthrax in real-time. A variation on the laser spectroscopic techniques we developed for the rapid detection of anthrax can be applied to detect the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome-Corona Virus-2 (SARS-CoV-2 virus). In addition to detecting a single virus, this technique allows us to read its surface protein structure. In particular, we have been conducting research based on a variety of quantum optical approaches aimed at improving our ability to detect Corona Virus Disease-2019 (COVID-19) viral infection. Indeed, the detection of a small concentration of antibodies, after an infection has passed, is a challenging problem. Likewise, the early detection of disease, even before a detectible antibody population has been established, is very important. Our team is researching both aspects of this problem. The paper is written to stimulate the interest ofboth physical and biological scientists in this important problem. It is thus written as a combination of tutorial (review) and future work (preview). We join Prof. Federico Capasso and Editor Dennis Couwenberg in expressing our appreciation to all those working so heroically on all aspects of the COVTD-19 problem. And we thank Drs. AIMS: The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic represents an unprecedented threat to mental health. Herein, we assessed the impact of COVID-19 on subthreshold depressive symptoms and identified potential mitigating factors. METHODS: Participants were from Depression Cohort in China (ChiCTR registry number 1900022145). Adults (n = 1722) with subthreshold depressive symptoms were enrolled between March and October 2019 in a 6-month, community-based interventional study that aimed to prevent clinical depression using psychoeducation. A total of 1506 participants completed the study in Shenzhen, China: 726 participants, who completed the study between March 2019 and January 2020 (i.e. before COVID-19), comprised the 'wave 1' group; 780 participants, who were enrolled before COVID-19 and completed the 6-month endpoint assessment during COVID-19, comprised 'wave 2'. Symptoms of depression, anxiety and insomnia were assessed at baseline and endpoint (i.e. 6-month follow-up) using the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), Generalised Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7) and Insomnia Severity Index (ISI), respectively. Measures of resilience and regular exercise were assessed at baseline. We compared the mental health outcomes between wave 1 and wave 2 groups. We additionally investigated how mental health outcomes changed across disparate stages of the COVID-19 pandemic in China, i.e. peak (7-13 February), post-peak (14-27 February), remission plateau (28 February-present). RESULTS: COVID-19 increased the risk for three mental outcomes: (1) depression (odds ratio [OR] = 1.30, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.04-1.62); (2) anxiety (OR = 1.47, 95% CI: 1.16-1.88) and (3) insomnia (OR = 1.37, 95% CI: 1.07-1.77). The highest proportion of probable depression and anxiety was observed post-peak, with 52.9% and 41.4%, respectively. Greater baseline resilience scores had a protective effect on the three main outcomes (depression: OR = 0.26, 95% CI: 0.19-0.37; anxiety: OR = 1.22, 95% CI: 0.14-0.33 and insomnia: OR = 0.18, 95% CI: 0.11-0.28). Furthermore, regular physical activity mitigated the risk for depression (OR = 0.79, 95% CI: 0.79-0.99). CONCLUSIONS: The COVID-19 pandemic exerted a highly significant and negative impact on symptoms of depression, anxiety and insomnia. Mental health outcomes fluctuated as a function of the duration of the pandemic and were alleviated to some extent with the observed decline in community-based transmission. Augmenting resiliency and regular exercise provide an opportunity to mitigate the risk for mental health symptoms during this severe public health crisis.

RESUMO

Objective: To study the epidemiological characteristics of COVID-19 in Henan Province. Methods: An epidemiological study was conducted based on the latest epidemic information of 1 265 confirmed cases (including regional distribution, severe illness, and deaths) announced by Health Commission of Henan Province, as well as the details of 1 079 COVID-19 officially released by Health Commission of municipalities in Henan Province collected as of 24: 00 on February 19, 2020. Results: Among 1 079 patients diagnosed with COVID-19, there were 573 male (53.2%) and 505 female (46.8%), with the ratio of male to female of 1.14∶1; The majority of patients were 36-59 years old (553 cases, 51.3%), and the mean age was 46 (interquartile range is 24) years old; 515 cases (47.7%) had a history of living, traveling, doing business in Wuhan or a brief stopover at Wuhan train stop, and 382 (35.4%) had a history of close contact with confirmed patients; There were 72 severe cases (5.7%) in 1 265 patients, and the fatality rate was 1.5%. A high number of cases were reported in Xinyang (269 cases, 21.26%), Zhengzhou (156 cases, 12.33%), Nanyang (155 cases, 12.25%), Zhumadian (139 cases, 10.99%), followed by Shangqiu (91 cases, 7.19%), Zhoukou (76 cases, 6.01%). Among 605 patients, the symptoms were fever (553 cases, 91.4%), debilitation (44 cases, 7.3%), cough (110 cases, 18.2%), expectoration (19 cases, 3.1%), chills (6 cases, 1.0%), shiver (7 cases, 1.2%), running nose (21 cases, 3.5%), stuffy noses (8 cases, 1.3%), throat dryness and sore (24 cases, 4.0%), headache (21 cases, 3.5%), chest pain (6 cases, 1.0%), anhelation (18 cases, 3.0%), and gastrointestinal symptom (21 cases, 3.5%). The age of deaths ranged from 33 to 86 years old, with an average age of 72 (interquartile range of 17) years old; there be 7 males (63.6%) and 4 females (36.4%). Conclusion: The cases in Henan Province were mainly imported cases and had certain geographical location relevance; meanwhile, there was a family-focused incidence. The overall trend of new cases was wave-like decline, and the number of deaths was high among elderly men with underlying diseases.
